- Notify GT campus police at 4-2500 or 404-894-2500. Do NOT dial 911 (it will only delay response time).
- Provide to dispatcher the following information:
- Your location (building, room number),
- Nature of the medical emergency (chemical exposure, seizure, burn, etc..),
- If an ambulance is needed.
- As soon as the situation is stabilized, notify in this order:
- PI/Thesis Director/Direct supervisor

- After the emergency:
- As needed by the nature of the incident, document the scene with pictures or videos BEFORE cleaning up. Under no circumstances, steps should be taken that could be perceived as cleaning or removing elements from the scene.
- Fill out the chemistry accident/incident form (available here). Email report within 48 hours to School Chair (mgfinn@chemistry.gatech.edu) and Safety Chair (pamela.pollet@chemistry.gatech.edu)

Accident/Incident Reports
It is mandatory to complete a report after an accident/incident. The report will not only provide accurate documentation of the event, it will also serve as a learning tool for others.
